Health and Safety Issues when using Wheat bags
It is recommended to follow the safety guidelines listed below:
Always read and follow the instructions supplied with your Wheat bag.
Always test the temperature before applying to the affected area - remember your heat tolerance may be different from other people, especially young children or the elderly.
Do not exceed heating times stated in the instructions for your particular size of wheat bag. This will not make it any more effective or make the heat last longer.
ALWAYS place a glass or small container of water in the microwave with the wheat bag when heating.
Watch for signs of over heating e.g. an over-cooked or burnt smell or signs of charring. These will indicate that grain deterioration has occurred.
Remedy - Replace with new wheat bag.
Allow to cool and safely dispose.
Remember some people are allergic to Lavender and asthma sufferers should be aware that wheat bags contain wheat germ.
Supervision of young children is advised as they may overcook the wheat bags.
Do not leave unattended with children under the age of 36 months.
Store your wheat bag only when it is cold.
